361°runs together with Haspa Hamburg Marathon in 2020

2020 marks the 35th edition of the Haspa Hamburg Marathon. Marathon running in the mid 80's was far different from what it is today. The times have gotten slower, but the numbers of participants have grown to over 30.000. And although slower on average, today's runners enjoy running through this amazing city with its rich and colorful history.

For the second time in a row, 361° is a proud partner of the HASPA Hamburg Marathon. To celebrate the 35th year of the Hamburg Marathon we created both the participant shirt as well as a limited-edition version of our bestselling shoe; the 361° Meraki.

Following a successful start in 2019, 361° designed a new limited edition running shirt. It will be produced in various colors per distance and was designed to honor the race, the course, the city and of most importantly; the runners. In an effort to reduce environmental impact, the shirt is made from 100% recycled PET bottles.

The 500 pair limited edition version of the 361° Meraki running shoe also features subtle details that ties it to Hamburg and the marathon. It's subtle black design with '35' on the inside mark this anniversary marathon edition, its red and white QUIKFOAM midsole refer to the city's rich history of pirates and wild nightlife. 361° Will be supporting prep runs in Hamburg ahead of the marathon. During the race we will be supporting runners to the finish line at our cheer zone at the 41KM mark. You will be able to try and test our running shoes and apparel at the expo on Friday and Saturday ahead of the race on Sunday April 19.

About Haspa Marathon Hamburg

The Haspa Marathon Hamburg is Germany's biggest spring marathon. Having started in 1986 with nearly 7.000 participants it now welcomes a total of more than 33,000 athletes in four competitions and is also the oldest and largest sporting event in Hamburg. 15,000 marathon, 4,000 half-marathon and 6,500 relay runners combine to make the event live up to its motto of "Run The Blue Line", usually on the last Sunday in April each year. Hundreds of thousands of spectators celebrate the athletes along the course through the most beautiful parts of the Elbe metropolis. On the eve of the marathon, 9,000 children and teenagers take part in Northern Germany's biggest running event for young people, "Das Zehntel", providing a spectacular sporting opener for the event weekend. A high-quality Marathon Expo with 100 exhibitors from the running, leisure and lifestyle industry complete the event weekend with free admission for participants and visitors.

At April, 19th 2020 the event celebrates its 35th anniversary and therefore will offer some special benefits to its athletes. Further information: www.haspa-marathon-hamburg.de
